This project included design and construction
(Design Build) of a new mast arm signal to replace an existing span
wire signal. CES and its team members were able to design the four
mast arm assemblies to meet current design criteria while utilizing
existing mast arm structures the Contractor had salvaged from
another County project saving additional cost to the County.
The associated design, project management and schedule accommodated
the CR 297 roadway widening project Escambia County had currently
under construction. The design and construction was completed
in three months. The project also included utility coordination,
geotechnical investigation, topographical survey, structural design
of mast arms and subsurface utility investigation with ground
penetrating radar.
CES was the lead design Consultant on this project and Ingram Signalization, Inc. was the Construction Contractor.
