Turnpike Interchange at Kissimmee Park Road

CES provided drainage, lighting, signing, and pavement marking design for a new partial interchange between the Turnpike Mainline and Kissimmee Park Road in Osceola County, Florida. The project involved the addition of two new ramps including toll plazas (SunPass Only) and the addition of a new bridge overpass on Kissimmee Park Road. CES provided the drainage analysis during the PD&E, the design of the drainage system included a 10-acre detention pond, roadway lighting, signing and pavement marking. The project also required coordination with Osceola County's proposed improvements to Kissimmee Park Road east of the Turnpike Mainline. Challenges included a high water table and the presence of an eagle's nest in the vicinity of the project.
