SR 238 from Columbia County Line to Lake Butler

The project consisted of widening and resurfacing for 14 miles in Columbia County, Florida.  The design included survey, permitting, right-of-way mapping, roadway design, drainage design, signing and pavement markings, traffic control plans, utility relocations and post design expert witness testimony.  The existing 20-foot roadway was widened to accommodate two twelve-foot lanes with five foot outside shoulders.  Cross-drains and culverts were extended throughout the project limits to meet clear zone requirements.

The project received a final FDOT quality and management grade 97%.
